NEW!

The Book, the Film, and Assorted Meanings by Judith Buddle

Judith has contributed a wonderful article to the site.  In it she ponders the hidden symbolism of Vaughan, and the sources of evil.  Centered with concerns over a real life incident, Judith opens the door between literary and cinematic fiction, and finds it both disturbing and compelling.

Crash the Novel

I am making every effort to ensure new content is added to the site as appropriate.  As I am sure you can appreciate, this takes time (I'm writing exclusively for the site, not publishing previously written content).

My latest completed project was a review of JG Ballard's novel in the context of the movie.  In other words, it's not simply a book review, but rather observations made when the novel is approached through the movie experience.

The format for this project will mirror my writing on Cronenberg's film.  Therefore, I took each chapter at a time, and addressed them individually.  Crash, as reviewed, has 24 chapters.

Please understand, what is shown here is a first draft.  It requires editing, and format changes might occur in the final product.  However, I thought some might appreciate seeing a work in progress.  If you have comments, please contact me:  vaughan@cronenbergcrash.com

Thanks for reading, and see you on the highway.
